The third and fourth grade Girl Scout troop enjoyed a fun-filled weekend of camping at Timberlane. The girls sharpened their orienteering skills with some compass practice as thet planted a Letterbox at Camp Timberlane. It was their first time learning to canoe, and they enjoyed the added teamwork aspect that canoeing presented to them. They found learning to build their own fires to be challenging! Multiple attempts and frustrations were had by all, but in the end the girls were all successful in starting their own fires. As always, the troop planned, prepared and cooked their own meals over a fire. The grand finale to the weekend was archery – a troop favorite!
