The sixth grade class created jackdaw boxes or DVD covers as a culminating activity to the novel Number the Stars that was read over the past few months in Reading . The jackdaw boxes contained items that were objects of importance in the novel along with their descriptions. The DVD covers included an exciting summary of the novel in a “manic” format with a list of famous actors and actresses who played the characters, a leading director, and “awards” it won.
