The Environment Club students have designed, built, and planted a community garden at the far end of the school playground. The student environmentalists and Mrs. Goins have worked hard to make the garden a reality. They assembled the above ground beds, secured them in place, shoveled in lots of topsoil, and planted them. The fruit and vegetables produced by the garden will be given to St. Mary Hot Meals program and The Elyria Hospitality House. Thanks to many who have donated their time, talent, and treasure, especially Elyria Fence, Elyria Rotary, Schuster’s Greenhouse, Cleveland Floral Product, Hook’s Greenhouse, Pat and John Forthofer, Bill and Karen Kolker, Bill and Stephanie Forthofer, Tony Leanza and Kris Goins, Home Depot-Elyria, Brandon Smith-BKS Environment, and Kurtz Bros. The students have had an amazing time getting this project off the ground!
