The junior high students participated in the Elyria Elks Writing Contest. They were required to provide a detailed and thoughtful essay on the importance of voting in this country. Three students will move onto the next round of competition at the district level. Angelina Quinones, a sixth grader, was the overall winner for the Elyria chapter going up against over one hundred essays. Olivia Kneisel’s and Dmitry Lipert’s essays will join hers in the next round of competition at the district level. Congratulations Dmitry, Olivia, and Angelina. Good luck in the next round!
